Daily activities include yoga and meditation sessions amidst the resort’s serene gardens, setting a peaceful tone for the day, as well as guided nature walks take you through the resort’s lush surroundings, including rice paddies, fruit gardens, and coffee plantations, where you can learn more about local agriculture. You can also choose other daily activities to elevate your experience to the fullest.

For those interested in Balinese art and culture, Jati Village, where the resort is located, is the birthplace of the renowned maestro I Nyoman Cokot, known for his intricate wood carvings. Guests can explore his influence through art workshops and touring around local galleries, gaining a deeper appreciation for the island’s artistic traditions

Yoga

Enjoy the harmonious atmosphere of our specially designed Yoga Shala. In this unique space, where walls open up to a natural forest, immerse in oneness with Mother Nature, while practicing Yoga and Meditation. Synchronize inner peace with the rising or setting of the sun to enjoy a memorable experience.

Yoga nourishes you on every level and it is equally important to feed the body, mind and spirit and here at Bagus Jati we concentrate on the practice of asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath control) and dhyana (meditation).

Meditation

Our instructor will guide you through this simple relaxing technique of visualization, allowing you to better understand this stress release technique of how to still the mind.

Nature Walk

This is a unique and enjoyable walking through resort garden and nearby area which is planted with vegetation, fruit and flowers while enjoying the sight and sound of many species of birds. At the end of walking, reached Jati village and visit one of villager’s traditional house and see the villager’s daily life.

Aqua Aerobic

Come and experience the activities in our natural spring-water swimming pool. Enjoy the benefit of toning and cardiovascular activities with a breathtaking panorama of Bagus Jati.

Balinese Dance Lesson

Balinese dance have more than 100 years of history as dedication to god. Experience one of traditional dance “Puspanjali” which is normally performed at opening of festivals, events or ceremony to welcoming the guests.

“JAMU” Demonstration

Experience the making of our traditional ‘JAMU’ medicines demonstration. Our experienced staff will explain to you how to make JAMU with our traditional recipes and the efficacy of JAMU.

Making “CANANG” & Balinese Blessing

It is our pleasure to share you a part of Balinese Hinduism culture with daily custom of preparing simple offering “Canang”. Our Balinese staff explains the meaning of “Canang” and you can try to make it use natural materials such as coconut leaf and many kinds of colorful flowers. After making, we do Balinese blessing in our hotel temple.

Our spa products have come from traditional treatments based on the ancient healing properties of Indonesian Jamu, using fresh herbal combinations made from the original recipes that have been handed down for centuries. In this program, our therapist will show you our herb garden and demonstrate how to make our natural treatment products which we use in our treatment menu. Learning Bahasa Indonesia

We wonder if you can talk with us in local language! We have two local languages, Indonesian and Balinese. Indonesian is the official language of Indonesia and Balinese is our mother tongue. We are happy to teach you the basic conversation.

Making Balinese Sweets

Various traditional snacks/sweets are often consumed by Balinese for breakfast or afternoon break with Balinese coffee. We introduce how to make “Lak-lak” cake made out of rice flour.

Enjoy nature at its best!  Experience the magnificent variety of flora and fauna that inhabit the forests surrounding the valley around the resort.

You may have the chance to glimpse monkeys in their natural habitat, while the chirping of a thousand birds composes a melodious symphony of natural sounds.

Our friendly guide accompanying will point out tropical trees and other plants, such as wild Orchids and Pakis ferns, the latter ones are frequently used in Balinese cuisine as vegetables.

Village Cycling (3 hours)

Accompanied by an experienced guide, cycling northward to Pisang village, then along the road among villages where you can watch local artists sculpt sandstone.

Continuing the cycling trip to Taro village to visit Balinese oldest Hindu temple and see sacred white cows. Along the way, let the magnificent and tranquil expanse of terraced rice fields fascinate you.

Finally take a picnic lunch at a hut in the middle of rice fields.

Balinese Purification Ritual
“Melukat” & Blessing in Sebatu (2.5 hours)

Embrace Balinese culture and custom on this tour to two local temples and experience a purification ritual in the heart of Bali.  Our staff will help you to dress in traditional sarong in your room first. Visit to Gunung Kawi Sebatu temple, followed by a beautiful walk down to the recently discovered holy spring and partake in purification and blessing ceremony where you walk to the base of the waterfall and immerse yourself in the purest water in Bali.

It’s a morning drive for the nature lovers, visiting Tegenungan Waterfall, one of the popular waterfall in Bali located 20 minutes south of Ubud town. Combined visiting a traditional morning market on the way to waterfall where you can see the daily local life of Balinese.

On the way back to hotel, stop at Rice terrace at Tegallalang.
